It is a tough swing with high carbon steel spring inserts for strength and to help resist vandalism. Unlike other similar seats you will find on other websites, the triangle hardware is a very smooth coated galvanization.
Belt Swing Features
When used in swing seats for in outdoor playgrounds, Copolymer Plastic and EPDM Rubber each offer certain advantages and disadvantages. While both materials include additives that provide protection from fading caused by the sun's UV light, Copolymer Plastic holds color longer by comparison with EPDM Rubber, which both fades more quickly and at times can rub off on clothing. Structurally, EPDM rubber outlasts Copolymer plastic in extreme hot or cold climates and in environments where annual temperature variations are great. If you live in an area with extreme temperatures – hot, cold or both – we recommend swing seats made of EPDM rubber. For moderate climates and in situations where seats will be removed and stored indoors during periods of temperature extremes, Copolymer is a great alternative and will hold its color longer.
