Fitting Handrails on 2x4s
These handrails are designed to fit pre-milled lumber for swing sets that have rounded edges. As such, they may not fit snugly onto a straight cut 2x4 from the big box lumber store. To accommodate this gap, the edges of the 2x4 can sanded down or rounded with a router. Alternatively, you can also use a rubber mallet and gently tap the handrail mounts down to get a tighter fit.
